Isolated, uncertainty, devastated – these are the words reverberate in many of us from the interior design industry due to the unprecedented negative impact brought upon the economy by the COVID-19 pandemic. Some employees are losing their jobs and employers are struggling to keep their businesses going. You are not alone.
SIDS sees the need to all interior design professions in Singapore to weather this hard time together by launching a new membership scheme called the 1SGID Membership Scheme. This is an unprecedented move since the founding of the society in 1994 to offer complimentary Professional and Associate membership to all existing and new members for a period of one year (conditions apply). This is to enable the profession to come together to both render and seek help, to share with and to learn from one another.
There will be various programs and activities held progressively to facilitate achievement of these objectives, including forums and interviews. Continuous support from every member is crucial to keep a positive spirit throughout the collective. By inspiring and uplifting each other, we hope the members will able to navigate and win their challenges.
