Carlos Sim is the Founder and Managing Director of IDesignerLab (IDL), a Singapore-based interior design practice known for its forward-thinking and human-centered approach. With 10 years of industry experience, he is an accredited ID.1 designer under the Singapore Interior Design Accreditation Council (SIDAC) and has received recognition at multiple international interior design awards.​

Carlos has been actively contributing to the design community since 2010 as a professional & council member of the Society of Interior Designers Singapore (SIDS), where he serves as Honorary Treasurer for the term 2024–2026. He also contributes as a judge in the Singapore Interior Design Awards (SIDA) youth categories. Guided by the philosophy “Designing Tomorrow, Today,” his practice focuses on pushing creative boundaries while delivering meaningful, tailored spaces.​

As a council member, Carlos aims to strengthen industry collaboration, elevate design standards, and support the growth of emerging designers, contributing toa more progressive and connected design community in Singapore.​
