Nikki Hunt is Founder and Principal of Design Intervention. Since founding the practice in 2004, her work has been recognized both locally and internationally, including ten appearances on the Andrew Martin Top 100 Designers list. In 2025, she was named AWiCS Interior Designer of the Year.

A strong advocate for advancing the local design industry, she founded the Young Designers Award, partnering with local colleges to nurture emerging talent.

Her work focuses on wellness-centred design, grounded in the belief that the built environment is a critical driver of health and well-being.
