OFFICIAL NOTICE

SIDS ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING 2026

In accordance with Clauses 11.2 and 16.3 of the Constitution, NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Annual General Meeting (AGM) 2026 of SIDS and the Election for the Council Member (Term 2026-2028) will be held as follows:

8th April 2026, Wednesday 

Time:
3.30PM – 6.00PM (Registration starts at 3.00PM) 

Venue:
National Design Centre, Level 2 Auditorium, 111 Middle Road, Singapore 188969

  1. Annual General Meeting Call-to-Order by Honorary Secretary
  2. Opening Address
    – by Mr. Tung Ching Yew, President, Society of Interior Designers, Singapore  
  1. Adoption of Minutes of the 30thAnnual General Meeting held on 29thApril 2025

  1. Presentation & Adoption of Honorary Secretary Report
    – by Ms. Ng Hwee Li, Honorary Secretary, Society of Interior Designers, Singapore  
  1. Presentation & Adoption of SIDS Financial Report for YE2025
    – by Mr. Carlos Sim, Honorary Treasurer, Society of Interior Designers, Singapore– Click HERE to download SIDS Financial Report for YE2025. The financial report is strictly confidential and should not be shared with any external parties.  
  2. Amendment to Constitution

  3. Election of SIDS New Council for Term 2026 – 2028
  4. Appointment of Honorary Internal Auditor for Term 2026 – 2028
  5. Appointment of Honorary Legal Adviser for Term 2026 – 2028
  6. Any Other Business for which at least ten (10) calendar days’ written notice has been submitted to the Honorary Secretary of SIDS
    – The copy of the written notice is to be sent to and received by SIDS Secretariat Office (admin@sid-singapore.org) by 29th March 2026.
  1. Closure of 31stAnnual General Meeting 2026 
    – Dinner will be served at Level 2 Lobby (outside the auditorium) after the AGM

ELIGIBILITY TO ATTEND:
Only current SIDS members, who have paid their 2026 membership subscription fee in full are eligible to attend in the 31st SIDS AGM 2026. Members who have not paid their fees are allowed to pay their subscription fee in full on site to attend the AGM. 


ELIGIBILITY TO VOTE:
Only Fellow Members and Professional Members, who have paid their 2026 membership subscription fee in full are eligible to vote at the AGM. Honorary Members, Associate Members, Student Members, Industry Members, Corporate Members and Overseas Members are not eligible to vote.  

With reference to Clause 8.4 of the Constitution, a member may nominate a proxy to execute the right to vote. A person so nominated may only hold up to three (3) proxies. The proxies have to be surrendered to the Society’s Secretariat before the beginning of the General Meeting. At any time after the President has called the General Meeting to order, all proxies presented thereafter shall be deemed null and void. Please click HERE to download proxy form.

With reference to Clause 16.9 of the Constitution, only Fellow Members and Professional Members are eligible to be nominated and elected during the AGM. Nomination shall be duly signed by a Proposer and a Seconder; and shall be submitted in writing by the nominee to admin@sid-singapore.org no later than 26th March 2026 (Thursday), 3.00PM. Late submissions will not be accepted.

With reference to Clause 16.3 of the Constitution, the final list of eligible candidates for election as Council (Term 2026–2028) will be made available for inspection at the SIDS Secretariat Office (28 Sin Ming Lane, #04-131 Midview City, Singapore 573972) during office hours from 27 March 2026 onwards. Alternatively, the list may be provided by email upon written request to admin@sid-singapore.org.
