Cris Cheng, a well know multi Design Awards Interior Architecture Designer trained in both Interior & Architecture design. Specialize in F&B, Resort & Spa, high-end residential and hospitality interior and architecture project (Singapore and international). Cris also specialize in development planning, authorities’ submissions and professional design works which enable him to provide a 1 stop consultancy and full solution services for all projects. (NEA, SFA, SCDF, HACCP, URA, JTC etc.)
Cris also received his training in Graphic Design and major in professional photography from Nanyang Academic of Fine Arts. Started his full-time career as an Interior architecture designer and made his first public achievement in 1999. His project “Pour Sugar into Water” a thematic club design at Sugar Vault @ Mhd. Sultan Road (Singapore), was named among the top 10 club of Singapore in year 1999.
Currently, Cris lead an international design team, Idée Etcetera HQ in Singapore providing bespoke professional design and strategic solution. The driving factor behind Cris and Idée Etcetera’s success stems from their adopted mascot the world famous Eiffel Tower. Erected from scratch within a year, naysayers wrote off the landmark’s chances of becoming an effective monument, let alone to be completed so efficiently back when industrial and technological resources were scarce.
Cris shared how the Eiffel Tower serves a functional purpose beyond simply looking majestic while providing a striking panoramic view; each pillar at the base actually points towards four different landmarks and places of interests in France. It is these very hallmarks that illustrate the Tower’s conception and purpose that resonate with every of his projects: speed, timelessness and iconic works. Inspired by this enduring tale, Cris leads his team in the creative engineering of clientele needs- focusing on their forte of commercial projects, namely premier restaurants, spa, hospitality and corporate spaces.
